In 2016 the University of Notre Dame released its Shamrock Series uniform which debuted at the Alamodome against the Army. The uniforms themselves were inspired by the WWI memorial of the east door of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Frechette’s hand crafted helmets showcase a motif that hangs above the doorway of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and the school’s mantra “God, Country, Notre Dame”.
